NASH.

I love: hot sauce, baked goods, books and conspiracies. I enjoy comparing my life to video gaming sequences from the 90's, quoting The Office in everyday conversation and trying to track cold cases. I sing "Africa" by Toto at the top of my lungs and will defend the existence of the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot until the end of time (peep that Tupac reference).

I could mention why connection and meaning is so important to me, but it's more important that you all know how funny I am.

I am originally from New Jersey and spent the first two and a half years of my transition living in Seattle, Washington. I began my medical transition in March 2015 in Seattle, which was followed by a double mastectomy (top surgery) in April 2015. I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy on Election Day in November 2016. I suffered significant complications at the hands of an inexperienced Seattle surgeon, prompting me to begin writing and sharing more of my experiences. I had stage one RFF phalloplasty in April 2017 with Dr. Mang Chen in San Francisco, CA. From April 2017 to July 2018, I underwent 12+ procedures and surgeries, numerous ER visits and a Fecal Microbiota Transplant. I want to point out that this is of no fault to my surgeon, but rather the hospitals I was treated in, several doctors, and ultimately, the way my body healed.

After phalloplasty, the complications I faced could not be treated in Seattle due to the lack of knowledge and education of the doctors. Therefore, I had to relocate to California for several additional surgeries. In doing so, it allowed me to also focus on launching a podcast with the intentions of providing information and experiences that our community so desperately needs.

C.

Hello wonderful humans, my name is C and I am a 20 something year old currently living in the midwest. I identify as non-binary and am fairly ‘pronoun indifferent’, they/them are the most appropriate, but as long as the others are used with respect- we’re good.

I could tell you when I started testosterone and when I had top surgery, but ultimately that is unimportant. What IS important is the following: I am a lover of cats, tacos, sports, adventures, and family-the chosen kind especially. I listen to a multitude of podcasts and love anything Syfy related, but no, I haven’t seen any of the Star Wars movies. Don’t hate me. I’m a bit of a paradox.

I have a lot of different interests and passions, but the one that is nearest to my heart is the trans* community. I find it vitally important, especially in these times, to not only be visible but also provide a platform for ALL trans* individuals to have their voices heard.
